Soo Gyeong Ju is the Director of the INSIGHT lab.

Soo is a Ph.D. candidate in the Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development program at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research investigates children’s goal-directed skill development and the underlying neural maturation. She examines two key areas:: (a) how children’s reasoning abilities shape children’s goal-directed skill development, and (b) how environmental and individual factors influence this process. By utilizing multimodal approaches that combine computational, observational, and neuroimaging techniques, Soo aims to advance our understanding of the mechanisms underlying children's goal-directed skill development and to develop evidence-based interventions that help children achieve their goals.
